Muscle Building: How to Find an Ideal Gym
Sunday, August 21st, 2011
There are literally thousands of gyms to choose from. In some cities, there’s practically a gym on every corner. The explosion of muscle building both as a sport and a recreation has led to an increase of gyms throughout the U.S. and around the world. Not all gyms are created equal, and choosing the wrong gym can really impede your way to a stronger, more muscular body. There are essential things a gym must have before you consider joining.
First and foremost, look at the size of the gym. How many build muscle machines are there and what’s the membership like? Having to constantly wait for machines is annoying and eats into training time. Next, look for the proximity of the gym to your home or work. Things like distance and traffic can become a reason for you to cancel trips to the gym. Always make sure any trainers you work with are certified either by NSCA, ACE, or ACSM. Lastly, check out the equipment, atmosphere and other members to make sure they are a comfortable fit.
